The diamond you chose once marked a single, perfect moment. But a life well-lived keeps adding new chapters, and sometimes the stone that started the story deserves to bloom into something more. At Diamond Forest Inc ("Diamond Forest," "we," "our," or "us"), we believe a diamond should be able to grow with your story. Our Diamond Upgrade Policy gives you a clear and generous path to a larger or finer certified diamond, whenever you are ready for more light.

Grown above ground with expert craftsmanship and certified by IGI, every Diamond Forest stone carries its full value forward. When you upgrade with us, you never start all over again. You simply begin the next chapter.

Upgrade Value and Minimum Purchase Requirements

Diamond Forest will apply 100% of the original purchase price of your eligible lab grown diamond as credit toward the purchase of a new lab grown diamond. The new lab grown diamond must be priced at least twice (2x) the original purchase price of the lab grown diamond being upgraded. This 2x minimum applies to the lab grown diamond price only, excluding setting costs, taxes, and shipping fees.

For example, if your original lab grown diamond was purchased for $1,000, you will receive $1,000 in credit toward a new lab grown diamond priced at $2,000 or more. You are responsible for paying the difference between the credit amount and the total price of the new lab grown diamond.

The credit amount is based on the original purchase price actually paid for the lab grown diamond, not the current retail price or market value. If the original purchase included a discount or promotional pricing, the credit will reflect the discounted price paid.

How the Upgrade Process Works

The Diamond Forest Diamond Upgrade Policy follows a structured process to ensure accuracy and fairness for all customers.

Step 1: Contact Diamond Forest. Submit an upgrade request through our customer support team at support@diamondforest.com. Provide your original order number, the lab grown diamond grading report number, and details of the new lab grown diamond you are interested in.

Step 2: Receive a return authorization. Diamond Forest will issue a return authorization and shipping instructions. Do not ship your lab grown diamond without prior authorization. Unauthorized shipments may be refused or delayed.

Step 3: Ship your original lab grown diamond. Return the original lab grown diamond and its grading report to Diamond Forest using a fully insured and trackable shipping method. Diamond Forest is not responsible for lab grown diamonds lost or damaged during return shipment. We recommend using a carrier that provides signature confirmation and full insurance coverage.

Step 4: Quality assurance inspection. Upon receipt, our Quality Assurance department will inspect the lab grown diamond to confirm it meets all eligibility requirements. This inspection may include verification of the lab grown diamond's identity, condition, and grading report. Inspection typically takes 5 to 10 business days after receipt.

Step 5: Credit approval and new lab grown diamond selection. Once the lab grown diamond passes inspection, Diamond Forest will confirm the credit amount and assist you in selecting your new lab grown diamond. The new lab grown diamond must meet the 2x minimum price requirement described above.

Step 6: Pay the difference and receive your new lab grown diamond. You will pay the difference between the credit amount and the total price of the new lab grown diamond, plus applicable taxes and shipping fees. Your new lab grown diamond will be shipped after full payment is received and the upgrade transaction is complete.

Setting and Mounting Options

If your original setting is in reusable condition and fits the new lab grown diamond, Diamond Forest may reset the new lab grown diamond in your original setting. Setting reuse is subject to inspection and approval by our experts. If the original setting cannot be reused, you will need to purchase a new setting for the upgraded lab grown diamond. Setting costs are not included in the upgrade credit calculation. We cannot provide credits or reuse original settings for lab grown diamond earrings and pendants.

Eligibility Criteria

• Your original diamond must have been purchased directly from Diamond Forest, either at diamondforest.com or at our New York showroom. [Assumed: only Diamond Forest diamonds qualify. Confirm whether third-party stones are ever accepted.]

• Your original diamond must be an IGI-certified lab grown diamond, accompanied by its original IGI certificate.

• Your new diamond must be priced at least twice (2x) the original purchase price of the diamond you are upgrading. [Assumed: 2x minimum spend is the dominant industry standard for lab grown diamonds. Both reference competitors use it. Confirm your multiple, as this is the single most important commercial term on the page.]

• Your original diamond must be in its original condition: undamaged, unchipped, unaltered, and never recut, repolished, or repaired by a third party.

• One upgrade per diamond. A diamond that has been upgraded once is not eligible for a second upgrade.

Important Conditions and Exclusions

The following conditions apply to the Diamond Forest Diamond Upgrade Policy:

• Upgrades are available on a like-for-like basis. Lab grown diamonds must be upgraded to lab grown diamonds.

• The Diamond Forest Diamond Upgrade Policy is a lifetime program. There is no expiration date for eligible lab grown diamonds.

• The upgrade policy does not apply to lab grown diamonds that have been lost, stolen, or damaged beyond repair.

• Lab grown diamonds that have been resized, modified, or repaired by an unauthorized jeweler may be disqualified from the upgrade program.

• The upgrade policy is available for purchases shipped within the United States. International upgrade requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Additional shipping, insurance, and customs fees may apply.

• Clearance items, final sale items, and lab grown diamonds purchased through the Diamond Upgrade Policy itself are not eligible for return or exchange.

• Diamond Forest reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Diamond Upgrade Policy at any time. Changes will apply only to purchases made after the effective date of the change.
