California Transparency in Supply Chains Statement
Effective Date: August 31, 2026
Last Updated: August 31, 2026
Diamond Forest Inc. ("Diamond Forest," "we," "our," or "us") is dedicated to operating with integrity, ethical responsibility, and strict respect for human rights. We maintain a zero-tolerance standard for human trafficking, forced labor, child labor, indentured servitude, and modern slavery across all business operations and supply chain relationships.
As a fine jewelry company specializing in lab-grown diamonds, recycled precious metals, and custom jewelry fabrication, we require our direct suppliers, gem growers, cutting and polishing facilities, metal refiners, and casting partners to share our commitment to fair, safe, and lawful labor conditions.
This statement details the concrete measures Diamond Forest takes to evaluate, monitor, and mitigate the risks of human trafficking and modern slavery within our product supply chains.
1. Verification of Supply Chains
Diamond Forest conducts due diligence to identify, assess, and evaluate supply-chain risks related to human trafficking, involuntary labor, and workplace exploitation.
- Pre-Engagement Vendor Evaluation: Prior to entering into commercial agreements, prospective suppliers must complete comprehensive operational questionnaires regarding their business practices, facility locations, workforce composition, labor management policies, and health and safety systems.
- Risk-Based Profiling: We evaluate vendor risks based on geographic operating regions, manufacturing processes, workforce demographics, and historical compliance records.
- Material Traceability: For our lab-grown diamonds, gemstones, and precious metal alloys, we require suppliers to demonstrate transparent chain-of-custody documentation, ensuring that all production, cutting, setting, and finishing steps can be tracked to vetted facilities.
- Verification Oversight: Supply chain verifications are conducted primarily by Diamond Forest’s internal compliance and sourcing teams, supplemented by independent third-party assessments where high-risk environments or expanded production volumes warrant additional validation.
2. Supplier Audits
To evaluate ongoing supplier compliance with our human rights and anti-slavery standards, Diamond Forest employs a structured auditing framework.
- Evaluation Scope: Supplier audits examine working hours, fair wage payment, overtime compensation, minimum working age verification, freedom of movement, physical safety protocols, non-discrimination policies, and freedom from physical or psychological coercion.
- Audit Execution: Audits of direct supplier facilities may be conducted directly by authorized Diamond Forest compliance officers or by certified, independent third-party monitoring organizations.
- Announcement Protocol: Audits are generally announced in advance to facilitate access to facility documentation, payroll ledgers, and management personnel, though Diamond Forest reserves the contractual right to perform unannounced inspections in response to reported violations, anonymous grievances, or critical risk indicators.
- Corrective Action & Re-Audit: When an audit reveals non-critical discrepancies, the supplier must complete a time-bound Corrective Action Plan (CAP) subject to formal verification and follow-up re-auditing.
3. Direct Supplier Certifications
Diamond Forest requires all direct tier-one vendors and manufacturing partners to enter into binding agreements certifying compliance with fundamental labor and human rights standards.
- Supplier Code of Conduct Acknowledgment: Direct suppliers must sign and formally execute the Diamond Forest Supplier Code of Conduct as a mandatory prerequisite for onboarding and purchase order execution.
- Regulatory Compliance Warranty: Suppliers must contractually certify that all materials, components, and labor incorporated into products delivered to Diamond Forest comply with applicable labor, worker safety, child protection, anti-trafficking, and anti-slavery standards of the countries in which they do business.
- Subcontracting Restrictions: Suppliers are prohibited from subcontracting any portion of Diamond Forest manufacturing, polishing, setting, or assembly operations to secondary entities without prior written authorization and verified compliance documentation from Diamond Forest.
4. Internal Accountability
Diamond Forest enforces rigorous internal policies to ensure that our workforce, operational leaders, and commercial partners maintain absolute fidelity to ethical standards.
- Employee Standards of Conduct: All Diamond Forest employees must adhere to our internal corporate governance policies and Employee Code of Conduct, which mandate fair labor practices and strictly prohibit any association with forced, compulsory, or trafficked labor.
- Grievance and Reporting Channels: We provide accessible, confidential channels for employees, contractors, and supply chain workers to report suspected labor abuses, human rights violations, or compliance deviations without fear of retaliation.
- Disciplinary Procedures: Any employee who knowingly engages with non-compliant suppliers or violates company human rights policies is subject to immediate disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
- Vendor Remediation and Termination: If a supplier fails an audit, refuses inspection, or is found to have engaged in forced labor, bonded labor, or human trafficking, Diamond Forest will immediately suspend active purchasing, require immediate remediation, or permanently terminate the commercial contract.
5. Management and Employee Training
Building organizational awareness is essential to identifying and preventing supply-chain abuses before they materialize.
- Targeted Departmental Training: Diamond Forest delivers specialized, mandatory training to all management personnel and employees who maintain direct responsibilities in supply chain management, global procurement, vendor relations, quality control, and merchandising.
- Curriculum Focus: Training modules cover the identification of modern slavery and human trafficking warning signs, supply chain vulnerability mapping, risk assessment techniques, vendor auditing standards, and rapid escalation procedures for suspected non-compliance.
- Continuous Policy Updates: Training materials and operational guidelines are periodically reviewed and updated to reflect evolving industry practices, international labor standards, and updated monitoring tools.
